My Activities Page
This page greets you when you start the system. It displays
current and future appointments, and current, future, and
overdue To-Dos. The large icons give you fast, easy access to
your Inbox, the Journal, Library, and Contracts database.

Organizations View
Organizations and associated contacts show up in one categorized
view. You can quickly navigate to any entry just by typing, and
can change the sort order by clicking on the column headers.
|
|
|
Person Document
You can associate any information at all with a contact,
including attachments. Hotspots (hyperlinks) allow you to send
email, visit webpages, and get directions directly from this
page.
|
|
|
Organization Document
Multiple contacts can be associated with a single organization.
Also, organizations can be associated with "parents"
to represent organizational heirarchies.

Financials
The contents of the "Financials" tab varies depending
on whether you're looking at a vendor, customer, or Lending institution. You
can link directly to the FDIC website to retrieve financial
reports for banks. VIC's open architecture allows you to
pull financial data directly from your own accounting system for
vendors and customers. Of course, Cratchit.org can help you by
providing custom programming services.

Correspondence View
VIC can manage all of your correspondence... emails, letters,
faxes, phone calls, and face-to-face meetings. Incoming emails
are automatically associated with the customer's account
based on the senders' e-mail addresses and are properly
filed for you.
|
|
|
Letter
Much of letter-writing is automated for you. VIC will format the
letter using the address and preferred salutation in the
recipient's Person record. The Library holds document
templates with boilerplate text. Commonly used letters and memos
can be generated with only a few mouse-clicks.

Letters and faxes turn out picture-perfect, whether printed on
letterhead or plain paper.

Calendar
VIC's robust calendar improves upon Lotus Notes' by
relating your scheduled activities with the proper accounts. VIC
also provides for many more types of scheduled activities. You
can document meetings, to-dos, and phone calls. When you
schedule a Product Demo you can relate a customer, vendor and
product with the activity. And scheduling a Conference allows
you to associate multiple contacts with the same activity.
|
|
|
Phone Call
This is the default Journal Entry type. This enables you to very
quickly document a phone call while you're on the phone. All Journal Entry types allow you the opportunity to associate expenses with them. Travel expenses, phone surcharges, etc. can be documented. If you wish, you can embed a spreadsheet to assist in calculating these expenses. It's perfectly feasible with VIC to forego expense reports entirely, getting the information directly from the Journal instead. |
|
|
Conference
This is a special type of Journal entry. Basically, it's a meeting
with more than one attendee. The additional attendees are entered as
child documents.
|
|
|
Conference Attendee
Each conference attendee can have his own individual record of travel
arrangements and expenses. This is particularly useful when these
arrangements are being coordinated by your office.
