VIC is a GIM?
VIC CRM was designed for SFA (Sales Force Automation) and it's billed as a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
Around here, though, we also use it as a Personal Information Manager (PIM) except that it's used for an entire group of people. Does that make it a GIM? (Group Information Manager)
Bottom line is, I think, that it is what you want it to be. What do you think?

I have been following VIC for a while, after first seeing it at OpenNTF.Org, but it seems that there has been no further progress for a long time time..?
Could you inform me if you plan to continue this project, and where it currently stands.
Thanks in advance.

Good question, and one that deserves (and will get) a post of its own.
The short answer is, progress continues, but slowly, as I'm hip deep in another project right now. The economics of Open Source are such that paying projects fund VIC. Given the lack of submissions and feedback, I don't expect another release until around October. That one will contain the enhancements that I personally needed.
The one user-requested enhancement will be synchronization of the Index with another Notes addressbook.
Thank you for your reply, I look forward to the new release.
Thanks
