These all have the distinction of being personal web pages to which I link not for any topical reason (you'll find that sort of thing on my Links page) .
I used to work with Dr.Fahrenheit. He's currently playing and moderating some Star Fleet Battles games on-line.
I've known Richard and Stephanie Glover and family for years. (OK, kids, just so you know I haven't forgotten your names... the boys picnicing in the photos are, in order of descending age, Christopher, Preston, and Gabriel)
I've known Peter Brooks since I was stationed overseas. At the time he was the editor/publisher/chief-cook-and- bottle-washer of the TI-LINES newsletter for the TI Users Group in the Midlands (Oxford). He's now living in California with is new wife, Casey. I'll embarrass him further and mention that I still have an autographed copy of his book, Mastering the TI-99.
My brother Everett's company website is at http://www.eveready-mda.com. He's a computer VAR, does consulting, and owns an alarm company in upstate South Carolina. If you need any of thoses services or any sort of invisible wiring done, I recommend you give him a call.
I worked with Bob Pierotti when I was stationed at RAF Croughton in England. Lost a lot of Chess to him, as well. He's alive and well and living in Colorado Springs. Definitely check out his website... he teaches skydiving and has some cool photos in the gallery! P.S. Definitely follow the links through to the other instructors' sites, as well. Dill's got some great pictures and an excellent animation on his home page!
Lorri used to work at Cowtown.Net, but sadly, Cowtown is no more (*sniff*).
Here's a link to Randy Cassingham's Zero Tolerance Rant. READ THIS, READ THIS, READ THIS, I thorougly agree with it and couldn't have written it better myself!
I found Charles Poynton's site by accident. I don't know the man, but he has a lot of interesting stuff about color on his web site. He also has a very nice document about making web pages useable.
Donald B. Marti, Jr. doesn't know me, and I've never met him either. However, he's got some VERY cool tools on his website. Check it out! There is an excellent article on selling Linux, which applies to any other consulting work, and of course this is the one-and-only home of the Operating System Sucks-Rules-O-Meter!
Here's another one that doesn't know me. James Gleick's website is absolutely chock-full of terrific articles and opinion. And why shouldn't it be? He's a professional writer.
Steve Wozniak's website is at http://woz.org. Of all of the principles in the computer revolution, Woz is one of the few who has his head on straight.
Another guy with his head on right is Steve Gibson (creator of the Gibson Light Pen and SpinRight).
This section is a "trap" for folks I'd like to get in touch with but haven't gotten around to. I'm hoping you'll see your own name on an Internet search and e-mail me. In the case of women, I've listed the name by which I last knew them. If you know where they are, or if you ARE one of these people, drop me a line at dave.leigh@cratchit.org right away! I probably owe you money anyway. If I didn't include YOUR name, don't feel slighted, just call or write me anyway
Here they are, in no particular order (the strikethroughs are those people who've found the trap!):
