This was written especially for William's marriage to Kimberly. I normally don't do very well on commissioned pieces, but I like this song very much. I would love to hear someone do a better job performing it... so much so I'm including a PDF with the sheet music here. William had a very specific sound in mind (something very"Elton Johnish", like"Friends"). We sat there at his  dad's house and tried things out on the Steinway until we had this about finished. It was  written for a June wedding.

(P.S. this ain't the easiest thing to sing. Don't be surprised if I transpose it down a few notes and replace these sound files later.)

Come Along with Me (demo)

We've traveled our separate highways far too long

But these crossroads have joined us here at last
And as Springtime ends, our new life begins
As two futures come together as one past

So let go now, and Come Along With Me
Stand beside me, and not behind
For the world outside lies before us
And you know that there has never been a better time

Now we're taking our final steps alone
The journey ahead requires a steady path
Winter's a far, far better fate arrived together
As two lovers' lifetime dreams are joined at last

So let go now, and Come Along With Me
Stand beside me, and not behind
For the world outside lies before us
And you know that there has never been a better time

Oh yeah, and you know that there will never be a better time.
